Arrests after rave stabbing

Dear Resident,

Two men have been arrested after a reveller was stabbed at a rave in a field involving hundreds of people.

Officers were initially called to a rave in the early hours of this morning (28 June) in a field on Dry Drayton Hill - between Dry Drayton and Madingley.

Police attended the rave, which involved up to 400 people, and calls also came in that a man had been assaulted suffering injuries consistent with stab wounds.

Paramedics attended and the man in his 20s was taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

Officers, including armed police, searched the area and two men were arrested in connection with the attack.

A scene is in place and will remain for most of the day, with an increased police presence in the area.
